Trip Details
Typical Drift Boat Trip
Rowing has always been a love of mine. I rowed miles and miles growing up while fishing a local river as well as rowed Crew at Oregon State; however, the first time I rowed a drift boat it felt like coming home.
Rowing a 2021 18' Clackamax drift boat is a blast and the boat offers a fantastic fishing platform for 2 or 3 anglers.

Most days we depart at first light and fish all day on the move. Depending on the river and conditions we may take several runs or fish several different rivers on the same day as well.
Typical Salmon Trolling Day
We are fortunate to have a 2019 RiverWild Elite Sled as the foundation for salmon trolling. The 250 HP Yamaha motor provides the necessary reliability and power to tame and control the conditions found at
Bouy 10 on the Columbia as well as all other locations we fish.

Most days we depart at first light and will troll well into the afternoon. Some days we finish early with full limits. Some days we grind it out to accomplish our goals. Every day is unique with varying tide, weather and run conditions all playing a factor.
